Insula is about being in the gap between the past and the future. It’s about daring to take the step to the new,
and dare to leave what’s come to an end.
Insula means island in latin, but is also the name of the fifth lobe in the brain.
The fifth lobe receives signals about the status of the body’s inner organs, also pain impulses from every organ in the body reach here.
In the serie I mirror a status of isolation, to be caught inside yourself. To be your own island.
